The Irwin Leadership Team

Tom Keller

Tom Keller, Scout Leader

Tom has been involved in scouting for a number of years. First as a parent helper at cubs and then as a section assistant in scouts. He became Scout Leader in 2012 when Irwin Scouts was started to increase the spaces for scouts in Biggleswade, to give more young people the
opportunity of taking part in the Scouting Adventure.

Pete Moult

Pete Moult, Ass. Scout Leader

Pete Moult has been involved with scouting for many years and has worked with all sections. His enthusiasm for all things scouting is infectious. Pete has seen many changes over the years, but he still believes that traditional scouting skills are important and loves teaching these to the young people. Second to this is his love of glo-sticks.

David Moult

David Moult, Ass. Scout Leader

David has been involved in scouting both as a beaver, a cub and a scout. After university he became a leader and has thrown himself into the role of 100% and is also a District Explorer leader, and helping out when needed with cubs. His interest in video has also seen him involved in our group Gangshow. Last year we were proud to find out that he is one of the leaders for the Bedfordshire contingent going to the World Scout Jamboree 2019 in the USA. This is a wonderful opportunity for any leader.

Faraz Bhatti

Faraz Bhatti, Ass. Scout Leader

Faraz joined the leadership team when his daughter joined the troop. He also helps with Jupiter Cubs. His interest for all things scouting is a great motivator to both the leadership team as well as the young people. He not only throws himself into the instruction of the young people but when we do an activity that is new to him, he is as enthusiastic to learn as much as the young people.

Dave Cox

Dave Cox, Section Assistant

Dave also joined the leadership team when his son joined the troop. Dave is a hands on leader and loves the practical skills. His passion for food and cooking has meant that anything to do with food and cooking at scouts means he is our “Chef”. Camp food has never been the same and his winter stew is to die for. As with all scouts young and old, a campfire is the natural habitat in which you will find Dave.

As a leadership team, we all believe that what we do is important to the young people. We enjoy teaching new skills and running the activities for them. As part of this we all also enjoy taking part even if it does mean we occasionally make a fool of ourselves.

Below are a few pictures of the team taking a ‘full and active part’ in troop life!!!
